Course Information

Aim. To develop your Adventure Training experience, personal and team working skills and to try something new. You will take appropriate responsibility within your group for the smooth domestic running of the centre, including catering, stores, transport, logistics and ensuring it runs smoothly on a day to day basis.

Background. This course has been organised in acknowledgment of the need to have something special for cadets over 18 years of age. You will live and work along side your peers as equals without the requirement to supervise younger cadets. This is the 4th year of this course and we are building on the feedback of previous courses.

Course Location. NACATC Llanbedr is situated on the Welsh Coast, five miles from the Rhinog Mountains and is well situated to provide access to exciting areas for adventure training. It is within half a mile of Llanbedr Railway Station on the Shrewsbury to Pwllheli line (request stop) just off the A496 on the Welsh coast between Barmouth and Harlech (see map enclosed). The village of Llanbedr is one mile from the Centre as is Shell Island.
